Class experience
I am passionate about teaching teens the benefits of proper planning and hard work. I feel like our teens don't understand the impact of the choices they are making because the future is unclear to them. In this class, I make the future very clear. We start the class as if the student is age 22. The student will follow along in the Student Workbook as I go through a discussion on college costs, return on investment, careers and student loans. This class is taught in English.
One of my favorite sayings is "The quality of your life depends on the quality of your choices". I first developed this class as a way to show my middle school son and his friends what I mean. My son liked it so much he wanted to continue the game after the class ended. His excitement motivated me to share this class with others. Since I first created this class in 2014, I have taught it to many more teens in the Raleigh area. I have seen the impact it has had in their lives and I am excited to share the experience with the Outschool community.
A student workbook will be provided prior to class commencement. If student is unable to attend class, there will be an opportunity to watch a recorded session.
