This class is designed to teach a few basic three note chords to get a learner started playing the guitar relatively fast. The goal is to get students playing as quickly as possible to motivate them to want to continue. Learners will also have the option to play what they have learned during the lesson for feedback.

You should have a guitar that is in tune for this class.

I am a guitarist, band director, and composer with over 36 years playing experience and over 24 years teaching experience in private guitar lessons. I mainly play rock/blues/metal, but has also studied jazz and classical at the college level.

Currently employed as a middle school band director with over 19 years of experience instructing beginners on flute, clarinet, sax, trumpet, trombone, baritone horn, concert band percussion, guitar, piano, bass guitar, ukulele, and drumset.
I have also played in many tribute, cover, and original bands over the past 23 years. He has opened for Pop Evil, Scott Stapp, Steel Panther, and John Cafferty.
