Latin is one of the most important, enduring languages of the ancient world. In this four-week course, you continue learning the language of Caesar! Week One: Chapter Five in our textbook, learning about Roman theater and social classes and plural nouns, verbs Week Two: Chapter Six in our textbook, introducing the perfect and imperfect tenses Week Three: Chapter Seven in our textbook, learning how a subject can be implied by the verb Week Four: Continuing Chapter Seven, learning about ancient Roman folklore and superstitions Note: It is highly recommended that learners have strong sight-reading skills for unfamiliar words.

Discussion of Roman culture unavoidably includes topics such as slavery and violence.
Supply List
A PFD textbook will be provided. For those interested in a fantastic interactive digital version of our books, one can purchase a relatively inexpensive subscription (about $13 for the year) to Cambridge Elevate, which will give access to all of the books in the series, plus additional material. Purchasing a hard copy of the textbook is recommended for for students who are not tech-savvy (used is perfectly fine, edition doesn't matter very much). The text we use is the Cambridge Latin Course Unit One
