In this multi-day class, students continue their studies from the Beginner Korean 101 course. They will add onto their basic alphabet knowledge with new letters such as double consonants and complex vowels (e.g., ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅔ, ㅟ). We will learn new vocabulary and useful phrases. We'll practice reading, writing, and speaking with the correct pronunciations through fun games, songs, writing exercises, and discussions. Reading/writing practice worksheets will be provided after each class. Students are encouraged to complete these on their own time to maximize their learning experience. Class instructions will be in English, and the teacher will demonstrate the Korean pronunciations (this is not a language immersion class). **Please note that students enrolling in this course should have taken Beginner Korean 101 as a pre-requisite or should be familiar with the basic Korean alphabet and how to combine them into words. This is a great class for those who wish to build upon the basics of Korean and to read/write/speak with greater fluency. Materials needed: 1.) Printable handouts (teacher will provide before class) 2.) Pencil & paper 3.) A small whiteboard and dry erase marker for games and review. If student does not have a whiteboard, they can use paper and pencil. * Optional reading and writing practice worksheets will be posted after classes.
