Learn the Basics of Podcasting and YouTubing, and How to Make Money Doing It!

Class experience

I host my own educational podcast called "How Do I Get That Job?!" where I interview professionals in a variety of new, exciting, and off-the-beaten-path careers in an effort to educate students and their families. It provides a roadmap for students when selecting colleges, majors, and careers so they can easily achieve their dreams.

I also have over 12 years of experience creating, editing, and consulting on YouTube videos, podcasts, and a variety of other digital media for both private individuals and large organizations such as the University of Delaware and the University of Pittsburgh.

My methodology is a simple one. I provide students with a simple roadmap to success, then empower them to explore their own interests, strengths, and opportunities.
The external resources will have all of the materials I use for my podcasts and what I will use in the class. However, there are FREE or pre-installed on your own computer materials available instead of what I recommend.
There will be some minor swearing in the editing unit of the class as I teach students how to eliminate or cover up their guest's "slip ups". This is done in an effort to provide realism to the editing process as well as add some levity to what is honestly the most boring and tedious unit of the class.

For students under 13 years old, they will need a parent's assistance/permission (by law) to create social media handles for their podcasts.
