Class Experience

In this one to one class, your learner has the opportunity to guide our curriculum based on their interests, or specific need. Your learner will join me in building structures, communication skills and more in a Minecraft Realm. We will build and explore all the ways that we can use the in game materials in a creative and innovative way to construct a virtual world, and discuss how that translates into the real world, while building individualized skills along the way. We will explore all of the different blocks and tools available to shape our Minecraft worlds, from building our first house, to creating a flying city, your learner will engage in a dynamic world building experience that will change from week to week, based upon your learner's interests and needs. Your learner will work on communication skills, problem solving, creativity and more.

From story telling to problem solving the opportunities for learning are almost endless. Does your learner need practice in communicating ideas? Working through complex multi-step problem solving? Is your learner interested in building out a story or adventure and needs a little bit of help building out the plan? Is your learner looking for conversational English practice in a familiar and entertaining setting? All of these and more can be targeted in this one to one learning environment. With collaborative communication we can tailor this experience to fit the exact needs of your learner for as many sessions as you see fit.

Each learner's individual plan will be crafted collaboratively with the learner's enrolling adult through messages at least 24 hours ahead of the scheduled meeting. Please message directly to customize the session.

Parental Guidance
Minecraft is a dynamic game, with a multitude of spontaneously generated "mobs", some of which can cause damage to the Player characters. We will be playing in creative mode, but there is the possibility that some of the work we will do may cause your learners character to be damaged, potentially to the point of temporary death before re-spawning. Please be aware that this is an aspect of gameplay in Minecraft. Thank you for your consideration on this matter.
Supply List
Learners will need to own a copy of Minecraft Bedrock edition and have it installed on at least one of the following devices : Windows 10 PC, iPad, iPhone, Android tablet, Android phone, Xbox One, Ps4 and Ps5, Nintendo Switch
