As a special educator in grades K-8 for 10+ years, I have seen students struggle with basic math skills. These concepts are the foundation of student success. After a certain grade level, these are not skills that are being retaught or reinforced in the classroom. Many students get left behind simply because they do not have this skill set. When I decided to do "Back to Basics" training with my students, I saw how they were able to grow in the classroom. With repetition and practice you have a recipe for success!
Most materials will be provided by teacher. Other Materials Include: A deck of cards Dice Colored pencils/Crayons Composition Notebook, scissors, and glue to put together interactive notebook
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
This is a basic multiplication class. We are only working on single digit multiplication. If they are multiplying single digit numbers, this class will be too easy. Students should be able to use repeated addition and have some understanding of multiplication. If students already have a firm grasp of multiplication, this class will move too slow for them.
