In this learner-directed, ongoing class, students will be playing the game Minecraft on a private server with each other while learning communication skills and demonstrating teamwork. The console/app based version of Minecraft is required.

Class Experience
PLEASE NOTE: If you are joining on a console, such as ps4-5, xbox or switch, you would need to get their respective online subscriptions. You will not be able to participate in class if your learner does not have this. The only times you would not need a subscription is on pc or tablet/phone as these do not have them. I am Autistic and know that for students like me, learning needs to be visual and fun! I have taught disabled students and student athletes for over 8 years. As a teacher, I love involving topics of high interest into learning, which helps my students stay focused. I will always involve all students in class participation and make them feel as comfortable as possible. I know some students can be shy or need time to open up and that's ok! If your learner needs any accommodations in class, I am more than happy to help.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The Bedrock version of Minecraft must be downloaded along with any available updates prior to class.
