In this class artists will create their self portrait using simple realistic drawing techniques. We will use English letters such as the letter 'U' to draw the nose and an 'M' for the mouth. We will use a simple cross shaped graph to scale the face accurately. Artists will use the Elements of Art, Line and Shape to draw the portrait as well as learn about Art Principles such as Proportion and Symmetry. Artists will need paper, a pencil, an eraser and mirror to see themselves. A black marker to trace over it is optional.
