While traditional art may reign superior in our hearts- A.I. is contributing to the inevitable evolution of various creative industries, including art, design, music, and film production. This class is meant to help creative learners prepare and adapt to this shift, opening new doors in art, design, music, and film. By mastering A.I. tools and techniques, students can explore innovative ways to express themselves, enhance their creative processes, and push the boundaries of traditional art forms. So, why not take the opportunity to work with A.I. directly, understand it deeper, or add it to your creative skillset? Q: What will students do in class? This class is learner-directed. Students will come up with their own ideas to make content with, while the teacher operates the A.I. tools. Q: What are reoccurring classes like? - Re-occurring students use class time to work on their own creative projects under my guidance and supervision ( I will not show students any inappropriate A.I generations that may occur). For example, a student may want to work on a story from start to finish during sessions. We will work through it together, using A.I. to help bring the vision to life. In class, I offer students business, design, and technical support. Students are asked to share any new artwork/writing made outside of class. I always inquire about my students goals, and encourage them to challenge themselves. Q: What kinds of content can we generate? -While I encourage students to experiment with A.I. in unique ways, here are a few examples of the kind of content we can create together… 1. Text: Creative Writing, Films, Scripts, Lyrics, Chapter Books, Characters, etc. 2. Image: Original Characters, Realistic Images, Digital Art (in any style) 3. Audio: Voice overs, Music 4. Video: Coming soon Q: Do I need any experience with AI before taking this class ? No. Q: Do we need any AI tools? -No. I will be operating the AI tools during class on a private screen. All creations will be assessed by me for quality and safety, and approved pieces will be shared with students via ZOOM screen sharing, and later in the OutSchool classroom. Q: Will you recommend AI tools? -I am happy to recommend tools. Upon request, I will learn the student’s goals in class and send over my recommendations after class. Q: What equipment do we need? -I recommend students have a device capable of keeping all of their files organized such as a computer, phone, or tablet. Q: I don’t have a dedicated device but am interested in AI, can I still have class? -Yes. I recommend, notebook if you would prefer note taking Q: Will the files we create belong to me? -Yes. All file rights will belong to the student. Q: How often should I take class? -Students are welcome to take class once to become aquatinted with the technology, or on a reoccurring basis to work through their big ideas. You’d be surprised how helpful it is to work with A.I. to plan out a creative story, or business idea.
