Natural Disaster Survival Class: Learn How to Prepare for the World's Most Dangerous Disasters Note: If your student is outside the recommended age range, please contact me so I can make an exception. This is a class EVERYONE should take! Most people don’t know what to do during a natural disaster, let alone how to prepare for one. In this essential one-time class, I will teach your student life-saving skills for surviving the world’s most dangerous natural disasters. Your student will learn survival strategies for: Hurricanes Tornadoes Earthquakes Flooding Tsunamis And if time permits, we’ll also cover: Blizzards Landslides Wildfires I teach using an interactive style, asking questions, sharing pictures, and showing short video clips to reinforce learning. I encourage student participation and will gladly extend the class if time allows for further discussion. As a parent and educator, I can assure you this class is designed to be informative and not anxiety-inducing. It’s suitable for ages 5-18, and I focus on empowering students with the knowledge to stay safe in a disaster. Additional Information: I’m happy to teach a class with just one student if needed—no need to worry about cancellations. Parental Guidance
Natural disasters can be very scary for most learners, but I have never had a complaint in my over 3 years of teaching. I teach in a fun and interesting manner, while emphasizing that it is important to be prepared. I also talk about how unlikely it is to be actually injured or worse during a natural disaster.

Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness Expert with Hands-On Experience
With years of experience in emergency management and disaster preparedness, I bring a wealth of real-world knowledge to every class I teach. I served as a firefighter/emergency medical responder for 10 years with the Cy-Fair Fire Department in Houston, TX, and also worked with the U.S. Coast Guard for nearly 5 years. My primary duties included law enforcement, search and rescue operations, and logistics.
As part of the Coast Guard's District 7 Hurricane Emergency Assistance Response Team, I played a key role in helping families prepare for and recover from hurricanes. In addition, I have served as an incident commander on multiple disasters and completed extensive training in the Incident Command System (ICS), ensuring effective crisis management and coordination during emergencies.
