Description
Class Experience
This class will focus on one of the foundation skills used in Algebra. The agenda for my class will be as followed: -Review of operations and the various forms they will be seen in mathematical expressions. -Introduce "GEMDAS" (Grouping Symbols, Exponents & Radicals, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction) -Simplify expressions by applying the order of operations. Solving the expressions will be done by the method of "I Do", "We Do", "You Do". What this means is the teacher will work...
Learner will learn how to simplify mathematical expressions by applying the order of operations.
I was a Special Education teacher for 9 years. During my time as a Special Education teacher, I supported students in 6th-12th grade math. Additionally, I taught Algebra I for 3 years.
1 file available upon enrollmentLearner will benefit from a quiet, focus oriented working space. Notebook, pencil, highlighter, different colored pens or pencils are recommended. I will attach a word document of class notes and problems. If parents need them emailed, please feel free to reach out to me.
The learner will complete an "Exit Ticket" to assess mastery level of applying the order of operations.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
