In this four week class, students will continue to enhance their saxophone skills through scale and rhythm studies. Prior experience is required, a minimum of 9 months.
Class experience
Completing the Accent on Achievement book 3 during this class, we will average 2 pages per lesson and there will be required homework each class. I will begin each lesson with review of what was taught the previous week and expect students to demonstrate an understanding of the assigned and practiced exercise(s). Students will then be introduced to the new concept (i.e. scales, rhythm, theory) as I will demonstrate, and then allow the students to sight read through the exercises for that...

I have 30+ years experience playing saxophone. I have been in concert band, marching band and jazz bands. I currently play in the orchestra at my church, and have done so for the past 11 years. I have been giving lessons on Outschool since August 2020, and enjoy watching the excitement with each new learner as he/she begins on this incredible musical journey!
