This 4 week flexible class will include a “math talk discussion”, a prerecorded video teaching the concept of that week, math facts song, exit ticket and a math game to play.
 We lesson will start off with a number talk. I will post a picture in the classroom and each student will post a discussion of  what they notice about the picture as well as answer a question asked. 
Following our number talk we will begin our video based  lesson on that weeks strategy of making a ten. In the prerecorded video I will introduce and teach the new strategy of how to make a ten. Then we will do some problems together using their whiteboard and hands on manipulatives. 
Following the lesson I will teach a math facts song to help them memorize their math facts that equal ten. Each week we will sing the same song together during the video.
Once we are done singing I will teach them a new game to play to help practice addition facts. Each week will have  a new game for the students to play independently after the video. 

Each student will be given an exit ticket every week to turn into the teacher to assess their progress. 

Strategies that will be learned each day:

Week 1: Making ten using a part-part-whole mat
Week 2: Making a ten to solve addition facts with  part-part-whole. 
Week 3: Making a ten using a ten frame 
Week 4: Making a ten to solve addition facts using a ten frame.
