Learners in this class will develop the skills to perform through through preparation in listening, practice, and performance. Learners will listen to recordings of accomplished singers and be able to discern what they are hearing. Learners will learn how to practice, including warm-up exercises. Learners will be walked through the steps necessary to prepare for a performance, including confidence building exercises. Dr. Cynthia has 18 years of one-on-one voice lesson teaching experience with learners ages 7 and up. She has taught voice in the USA and India. She holds three music degrees in vocal music, including a Doctorate in Vocal Performance. Her current and former learners have successfully auditioned for programs and shows, placed in international voice competitions, completed Masters programs in voice, and hold successful full-time careers in music. Dr. Cynthia has performed in the USA, Austria, India, and Switzerland. Currently, Dr. Cynthia, a mezzo-soprano, teaches at the university-level and performs professionally as a soloist and chorister.
