Live performance is a critical part of a young singer's development. After a group vocal warm up (which will strengthen vocal cords and demonstrate safe singing) each student will sing a prepared vocal solo (one verse and chorus, or about 90 seconds) for the class. Students can sing to a track, live accompaniment, or a cappella. Singing in front of an "audience" helps young singers gain experience and confidence in their abilities. As a professional singer and teacher, I will offer your child tips and encouragement in one or more of these areas: -body language -eye contact -how to hold a microphone -diction -pitch -rhythm -tone -expression -breathing -how to cope with stage fright Students will enjoy interacting with other children and offering support and encouragement to their peers. Your child can join us once, from time to time, or every single week!
