Hello! I'm so excited to share what I have learned on my fashion journey!! The secret to fashion that I never knew is this: YOU decide what you should wear. When you stop comparing yourself to others and start looking at what makes you feel good, you begin to discover your style as well as the confidence you need to wear it well! *I offer basic tips in fashion, but the main purpose of class is to offer tools and resources to help you understand how to dress more confidently and authentically. Class # 1: Look to Your Closet Introductions and get-to-know-you start class off. We move to a discussion about our "clothing complaints" and begin to help you narrow down the fashion style(s) you like. I introduce basic questions to help you realize what you have already that you connect to. The basic style types are introduced and you can see which one(s) you want to adopt more in your own style. Homework: Fashion Mood Board (explained in class) Class #2: Find Inspiration/Capsule Wardrobe We start class with sharing time for our completed assignments, then we move on to finding inspiration from people we know and don't know. We will see how people wear clothes we already own in different styles and introduce the capsule wardrobe. The remainder of class time is spent creating a capsule wardrobe (with the help of your classmates) for the style of clothing you've discovered that you like! Homework: Create 2-3 outfits you like with the clothes you already have and take pictures of them. Wear one (or anything outside of your comfort zone) to class next time. Class #3: Lessons Learned/My Experience We share the outfits we created for ourselves and delve into my journey. I share before and after pictures and all of the things I've learned about fashion. We discuss the importance of trying new things, options to add accessories/color, tips to shop frugally, how to use what you have already, and resources to move further into organization and confidence after class. Optional Homework (as this is the last class): Closet Clean-Out! I'm excited to see you in class!!
