Do you love all things fashion? This is a great class for all budding fashion designers and artists alike. This ongoing course explores the history and a variety of themes of fashion, while creating new and unique figure drawings, and designs using pencil, watercolor and ink (artists choice). The best way to become good at a skill is through practice, and this is exactly what this course is -- a weekly practice to build skills and portfolios. Each week is met with a new fashion theme: fashion designers, historical time periods, conceptual and more. As a group we discuss, share opinions and dissect the themes for the first 10 - 15 minutes of our meeting. Following, we choose a different figure pose as a reference: standing, seated, or reclined -- and through step by step instruction, we draw the pose using proportion techniques. Following the figure drawing, students are invited to respond to the theme of the week and design their own fashion ensemble and at the end of class are welcome and encouraged to share (sharing is optional). After the first few classes I begin to get to know each learners style and am better able to help guide their drawing and designs to the next level of detail, accuracy and depth. Each week, as a group we will explore different themes Teaching Style: In the first class, I like to discover strengths and what they might want to improve. My main goal in each of my classes to help each student achieve their creative potential. Experience: Some knowledge of figure drawing is an asset but not a requirement for this course. Discounts: Ask about my returning student discount and sibling discount! ** Please note if the class attendance is low and only one learner attends the live class, the class length will be shortened to 30 -40 minutes** See you soon!
