This 1 time course is a specialized math tutoring class designed for middle school students to develop a strong foundation in math skills. This course allows students to ask questions and get help with class materials. Taught by experienced math teacher who is skilled at working with middle school students, this course aims to improve students' math abilities and boost their confidence in tackling math problems.

Hi! My name is Hillary Knott!

Class I teach:
I currently teach Mathematics for 6th grade students; I teach regular 6th grade math classes as well as an honors/Pre-Algebra class for advanced learners.

My professional Background:
I currently teach at a Title I school were I teach General Education classes as well as inclusion classes ( I am special education certified). I have been at that school for almost 3 years (1 year being my 1st student teaching). For my student teaching, I was placed in an 8th grade math classroom. The intent would be that I would be in that classroom for the entire school year. In November, I was asked to fill in full time for a 6th grade math teacher at the same school. I accepted and was then hired for the next school year.

My philosophy:
I believe that children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. I will provide an atmosphere where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks so that the students can meet their full potential.

Something fun:
I am currently engaged and getting married this October!
