Class Experience
This is a personalized math tutoring class for students in K-6th grade. Students will focus on specific math skills chosen by the parent. I will create short, personalized lessons for your learner about a specific topic. For example, parents/students can choose to focus on number sense, simple addition/subtraction, double/triple digit addition/subtraction, multiplication/division facts, double/triple digit multiplication, long division with or without remainder, fractions, words problems, money, time, place value, skip counting, etc.. Lessons will be in an I do, we do, you do format in order to teach and enforce each concept. *** If you are interested in a time slot not listed above, please let me know.***

Hello! My name is McKensie and I am so happy you found my page! I am a certified K-6 teacher and a former 1st grade teacher of 6 years. I have experience with Common Core Math, Guided Reading, and Writer's Workshop. For the past two years, I have enjoyed teaching students online, learning about different cultures, and tutoring elementary and middle school aged students.
I enjoy teaching all elementary subjects including math, reading, and writing. I especially love classes involving imagination and 1:1 tutoring because it provides a chance for personalization and creativity. Students do much better when they feel comfortable and feel like they're being seen, heard, and appreciated.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, hiking, biking, crafting, playing tennis, and reading a good book. Thank you stopping by! I am so excited to hear all of your creative ideas. I hope to see you in one of my classes soon! :)
