What is the Utah Fits All Scholarship? Everything you need to know

Find out if you’re eligible for the Utah Fits All Scholarship, how to apply for the UFA scholarship, and how you can use the funds.

What is the Utah Fits All Scholarship?

The Utah Fits All Scholarship is a universal school choice scholarship which passed in the Utah legislature in 2023. Similar to other programs across the country, Utah families are able to use the scholarship to cover a variety of education expenses such as private school tuition, tutoring, home education materials, curriculum, and more.

Who qualifies for the Utah Fits All Scholarship?

Currently, all K-12 students who live in Utah are eligible. When you are awarded the scholarship, you must un-enroll in the public school system if you are currently attending. The first round of scholarship applications were awarded in May 2024 and is currently closed for the 2024-25 school year.

When does the Utah Fits All Scholarship application open?

Applications will open up again in Fall 2024 for the 2025–26 school year. If you want to stay connected to the most local and up-to-date information about the scholarship, check out Utah Education Fits All, a local non-profit working closely with Utah families to apply and utilize their scholarship, and the program portal at UFAScholarship.com

What if I already applied to Utah Fits All?

Already applied and got accepted? Awesome — let’s go over who manages the program for Utah and what you can spend your funds on.

How can I use my Utah Fits All scholarship money?

The State of Utah selected ACE Scholarships as the vendor platform to manage the scholarships. This means parents have a web-based marketplace with ACE and ClassWallet to utilize their scholarship funds through.

Here is a key UFA document–the UFA Parent Handbook. All families should use this guide to identify approved expenses, but don’t worry! The possibilities are endless and if you ever have questions, you can reach out to either Utah Education Fits All or ACE Scholarships for support
