This class will put summer fun into the language arts. We will start with a foundation of vocabulary and spelling skills. To help the new vocabulary sink in we move to writing sentences using our new vocabulary focusing on clarity, structure, and creativity. We will then take our sentences and build fun paragraphs focusing on clarity, coherence, and punctuation. We will end with word games to celebrate what we’ve learned. Students will increase their useable vocabulary. Students will gain confidence in writing strong, clear, colorful sentences. Students will utilize creativity as they build fun, meaningful paragraphs using new vocabulary.
Students will be writing in class. They will need a computer with a keyboard they can use at the same time class is up, or they can use a pencil and paper.
