Students will need a copy of the novel Wonder by R.J. Palacio.
Upon enrollment you will receive the first week's handouts.  Students are expected to do the assigned readings at home.  We will complete the majority of the assignments during class. (I may assign a small amount of work at home to finish if needed.)  This is a great book for a class literature unit.  It is 310 pages, so it is important that the student keep up with the weekly reading so we can complete the class in 8 weeks.  This shouldn't be hard because it is a fun novel that keeps the readers attention.  I have created class activities I think the students will enjoy too.  I will send the handouts out at the beginning of each week.
