This fun and engaging 30-minute weekly vocal workout is designed for young singers to build confidence, improve their vocal technique, and develop healthy singing habits in a supportive group setting. Each session focuses on warming up the body and voice, practicing essential vocal exercises, and singing together in a stress-free, encouraging environment. What Will Be Taught? -Proper breathing techniques for singing -Vocal warm-ups to improve range and flexibility -Exercises for tone, resonance, and pitch control -Fun group singing to apply vocal techniques -Cool-down exercises to maintain vocal health Topics Covered: Breath support and control Vocal placement and resonance -Pitch accuracy and ear training -Diction and articulation -Confidence in group singing -Class Structure: Physical Warm-Up (5 min) – Light stretching and movement to release tension and prepare the body for singing. Vocal Warm-Up (10 min) – Breathing exercises, sirens, and scales to gently activate the voice. Vocal Workout (10 min) – Focused vocal exercises to build technique and control. Sing Together (5 min) – Apply warm-up techniques to a fun song, fostering group connection and musicality. Cool Down (2 min) – Gentle vocal exercises and relaxation techniques to end the session smoothly. Teaching Style: -Supportive and encouraging -Interactive and engaging -Focused on fun and participation rather than perfection -Adaptable to different skill levels -How Will Learners Interact? *Live Group Participation: Learners will actively sing along and follow guided vocal exercises. *Call and Response: The instructor demonstrates, and learners repeat to reinforce techniques. *Discussion & Feedback: Short discussions on vocal technique, with opportunities for questions. *Games & Challenges: Occasional fun exercises to keep energy high and learning engaging. This class is perfect for young singers looking to improve their vocal strength while having fun in a welcoming environment!

Potentially Upsetting or Challenging Content:
Performance Anxiety: Some learners may feel nervous about singing in front of others, even in a group setting. The class will foster a judgment-free, encouraging atmosphere to ease anxiety.
Physical Warm-Ups: Some stretching or movement exercises may feel unfamiliar to learners who are not used to physical activity. These will be gentle and adaptable to individual comfort levels.
Vocal Challenges: Expanding range, breath control, and resonance can be physically demanding, and some learners may feel frustrated if they struggle at first.
Safety Precautions:
Proper Hydration: Students should have water available to keep their voices hydrated.
Vocal Health Awareness: Avoid pushing the voice too hard—students will be encouraged to listen to their bodies and rest if needed.
Safe Movement Practices: Warm-ups will be light, but students should have enough space to move comfortably and avoid strain.
Respect for Individual Limits: No student will be forced to sing alone or beyond their current ability level.

Certification in Musical Theatre from AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) – This provided formal training in vocal technique, stage presence, and performance skills across musical theatre, pop, rock, gospel, and R&B styles.
Ongoing Vocal Study & Practice – As a performer and vocal coach, I continuously develop my skills in vocal health, breath support, and singing techniques.
