In this Waldorf inspired class, we will delve into this amazing story with the main character being a beautiful neighborhood tree who brings peace and love to all who come to him. In each class we will light a candle and read the story together (teacher reading) and then draw pictures based on the part of the story we read. We will do some short writing to process the story, as well. Drawing will be student inspired and will be a quiet, reverent time for working. We will also recall what...
Students will hear and be immersed in the beautiful book Wish Tree while processing the story through drawing and questions.
I am a librarian at a Waldorf school, teacher, reading coach, and private tutor for students of all levels including struggling and gifted students. I also homeschooled both of my children using the Waldorf curriculum at home up to high school level.
