Let's JAM! In the world of music, what is more pleasing to the ear than a ukulele tune?! In this beginner ukulele class, we will learn chords and strumming patterns on the instrument to a new song each week. This music class is an ongoing format, so students can join at any time, or drop in for some weeks, but not all. Students are always welcome to subscribe and play with us each week! Your teacher, Jacob, will provide step-by-step instructions with visual reference and live demonstration so...
Jacob is a music teacher and co-founder of Sudbrink Performance Academy. He has 19 years of experience teaching music privately and to groups of children in multiple forms, including vocal music, musical theatre, orchestra, choir, and band. Jacob has experience teaching music to people ages 4 through 74. He currently teaches vocal music and band at a high school, as well as a grade 7-12 choral group, and private learners of all ages. He offers classes for a variety of ages and abilities on Outschool. Jacob has a friendly, approachable method of teaching that his students love.
Learners will need to have access to a ukulele (soprano, concert, or tenor) to play in order to follow along with the class. Learners should also have a tuner and have their instrument tuned before class. You may strum with your fingers or a felt pick. (not plastic.)
