1 pipe cleaner cut in half (both parts are needed) - any color, but green, yellow or brown would work best for corn
24 pony beads - any colors can be used, but corn colors would be yellow, white, brown/tan, green, blue, purple, red, and orange. (Pony beads work best. Students have struggled in the past to make this work with other kinds of beads.) 

optional - yarn or string to make the corn into a necklace, but this is not required

This class will not address the true history of Thanksgiving due to the sensitive content of that history. I might mention that the 1621 story was not the "first thanksgiving," if Thanksgiving comes up, but that is all.
