What took us from apes living in free to an advanced global species with medicine, space travel, the internet, drive through food, Minecraft and dogs? Humans have come a long way since our first ancestors stood upright, creating tools, spreading out from Africa, invented farming and more! In this class, we'll be travelling back through time together and become experts in the amazing story of humans. The classes will be a blend of expert storytelling, discussion of the 'what-ifs' and what...
Each week will focus on certain topics, that blend together to build a well-rounded understanding of human development. These include: anatomy, genetics, archaeology and anthropology, the environment. 'Soft' skills that will be developed will be oracy, literacy and critical thinking skills - vital for cultivating excellent thinkers and communicators.
I am a qualified archaeologist with an undergraduate degree in Archaeology and Masters degree in Bioarchaeology. I am also lucky enough to be an experienced, fully qualified Secondary Science teacher in the UK.
Notebook or project binder will be essential to create their own record or timeline of their travels through time.
