In this course students will learn all about different kinds of doctors. This class is a fun way for students to get introduced to the different body systems and learn interesting ways the human body works. Each week, students will learn about a different type of doctor and the human body system. Students will complete a simple experiment to further understand the human body system we are learning. I will send the supply list out before class. We will then use our new knowledge about the human body to play games and complete experiments! Students will love using their questioning and problem solving skills to learn about the human body. Students will have a fun worksheet to complete during class. 

The classes do not build on each other and learners can join at any time!


Week of 8/4: Hematologist  - All about our blood
🩸Blood Type Experiment: 4 clear cups of water, red and blue food coloring, syringe or dropper

Week of 8/11: Oncologist - What is cancer?

Week of 8/18: Hepatologist - Liver and gallbladder
🧫Break apart Fat: Milk (no fat free), Food coloring, Qtip, Dish soap

Week of 8/25: Podiatrist - Feet

Week of 9/1: Psychologist/Psychiatrist - Limbic System (Brain and Emotions)
🧠 Emotion Brain Game: coloring tools

Week of 9/8: Radiologist - Xrays, MRI, PET scans
🦴 Build an Xray: black paper, qtips and glue or white crayon

Week of 9/15: Neurologist - Nervous System (Brain)
🧠 Nervous System Hat: Coloring tools, scissors, tape

Week of 9/22: Cardiologist - Cardiovascular System (Heart)

Week of : Endocrinologist - Endocrine system (pancreas and glands)

***I am not a doctor. I am using the types of doctors to explain the basics of different body systems and important body parts in an engaging and fun way.
***This class will not have any actual medical training. The content will be focused on the human body system by simply just using the doctor name as a fun way to engage the student. 
***Students will be shown diagrams and visuals inside the human body. I will always choose safe drawings or images for young learners. I will not be using graphic images that contain blood or unsafe content.🩻🦴
