Students will participate in a role-playing game that allows them to experience various parts of Greek Mythology as a young hero/heroine. The mission of each hero/heroine will be to explore 4 islands near Ithaca at the request of Odysseus. These lost islands have been mapped, but no one has returned to tell of their findings. Hopefully, you and your team of heroes will be the first! Class #1: Students will fully create their hero/heroine character on the character sheet. Next, they...
The goal of our lesson is to experience some of the adventures that happen in Greek Mythology. If the student has knowledge of Greek Mythology, their hero/heroine will make wise decisions in the different encounters. If the student has not read Greek Mythology, they will encounter new monsters, gods/goddesses, and places. Every student will receive all the information they need to make the best decision for their hero/heroine.

Mythology often has a lot of violence and death due to their stories centered around war, heroes vs. monsters, impossible quests, and jealous gods/goddesses.
