In this class, students will gain confidence in speaking and listening through reciprocal conversations with the teacher and other students. This is the perfect class for a student who may feel hesitant need to build and need to build confidence about sharing their opinions in front of others. We will work on affirming that each student has a unique voice and perspective that the world needs to hear! Students will learn, at their pace and their level of comfort, to share and continue two-way conversations with adults and peers.
I am a certified teacher in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. I hold certifications in special education, early childhood education (prek-2nd grade) and high school English. I have worked with students who are extremely shy, have a variety of anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorder and who have selective mutism. I love working with students in small groups to find their voice and build confidence.
Students may need to bring a share from home each week.
