In this on-going class, we will be learning about story elements through the use of picture books. This will cover setting, character traits, plot/key events, problem/solution, and theme. The class will be structured by an introduction to the story element of the week, a read-aloud, and then a fun interactive discussion! I teach in a positive and supportive manner, so that each learner feels safe to share! It will be a very interactive class, with plenty of discussion and participation by the learners. This is an on-going class that learners can join at any time, as sections do not build on each other. Each week does have a focus, as shown below: Week of 3/13 - Setting Week of 3/20 - Character Traits Week of 3/27 - Plot/Key Events Week of 4/3 - Problem/Solution Week of 4/10 - Theme
