Welcome to individualized reading lessons with Ms. Mariah! I am an experienced early childhood educator and reading interventionist. This class helps build a strong foundation for reading success and set your learner on the path to becoming a lifelong reader! I have designed this program to meet the needs of your child. I have an Educational Specialist degree in Literacy Leadership from Michigan. In addition, I have a reading endorsement and Special Education endorsement for my State K-12 Teaching Certificate. I am certified in teaching English as a Second language also.

頻率: Available upon request回饋: Available upon request細節: Learners will read a book of their choice between classes and keep a response journal when they read on their own time. They will keep track of the pages they read. Learners can illustrate pictures in response to the stories and books that he or she reads in class.
Books or stories of learner's choice. Plain paper and crayons for students open-ended response to the story.
We will refer to chunking strategies for segmentation of words. We will also refer to reading strategies from a resource I have created, "Super Power Reading Strategy Cards" (c) 2020 that has 20 decoding and comprehension strategies.
