For many years, I was a community trainer for young adults with special needs. I have been working with students with special needs for many years including in an educational setting. I majored in special education when my daughter was born, and due to her extreme needs, I quickly switch my major to History.  I am an advocate for my daughter, who is living with Rett Syndrome, Epilepsy, and is non-verbal.  I have extensive training in non-verbal communication and ASL.  I have a TESOL certification which means I have completed an accredited course in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
