This is a one-time Minecraft gameplay session that teaches the student, in an interactive and community environment, how cities are planned, how skyscrapers are built, and how to work as part of a "team" to accomplish a large task. Set in a Minecraft realm (Bedrock Version) students are part of a dynamic and changing "realm" community as they plan, design, and build a city of skyscrapers. Through building skyscrapers and a subsequent city, students will learn about aesthetics (the importance of how things look), planning, goal-setting, teamwork, cooperation, and the rewards inherent in finishing a task, accomplishing, and finishing a project.
除了 Outschool 教室外，本課程也使用：
Students will be using Minecraft (Bedrock Version) which is a vetted and approved third-party tool for education on the Outschool platform. A Minecraft account will need to be opened and used to access the Microsoft/Minecraft Realm to interact in a multi-player gameplay setting. The teacher's Minecraft screen will also be shared during the Zoom session so students can see the instructor's gameplay viewpoint. Gamer tags will be required for the class. Parents should message gamer tags directly through Outschool's private messages.
