In addition, they have a greater vocabulary and tools to comprehend new and unfamiliar words. Some think of roots, prefixes, and suffixes for older students since we often hear these terms associated with standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT. However, I am convinced that learning these building blocks at a young age will carry a student further...
Students will: 1. Learn roots, prefixes, and suffixes. 2. Apply the new information to words and sentences. 3. Have fun!
I will supply the handouts for class. Please be sure to print the necessary handouts and bring them to class. They will be located in the classroom.
