DON'T RUSH DRIVER'S ED! Driving is a life skill. Instead of cramming information into two short weeks, treating it like an academic subject—rather than a rushed requirement—helps students respect its importance and take it seriously! And this is especially Ideal for ages 13 and up as well as Neurodiverse Learners! Read more below! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why are some street signs blue? Can you occasionally drive above the speed limit? Not sure, huh? Well, this class is for you! Get ready to hit the road in the ultimate Drivers Ed class for teens ages 13–18! This isn’t a quick cram session—it’s a full-year experience designed to treat driving like the serious life skill it is. Your teen will dive into everything from mastering traffic laws and exploring the parts of a car to learning about the newest (and oldest!) driving technologies. We’ll tackle how to: Handle bad weather Read signs, signals, and pavement markings Manage risk, space, and visibility Navigate expressways like a pro Each 45-minute class starts with a quick, engaging intro to the topic of the day. Students learn through interactive discussions, pictures, and games—making each lesson fun, visual, and easy to absorb. We focus on real-world application and smart decision-making, not just memorizing rules. 🧠 Why This Drivers Ed Class Is the Smart Choice for Your Teen Most driver’s ed classes are over in a flash—two weeks, a few hours, and done. But let’s be honest: that’s just not enough time for most teens to truly master the responsibility of driving. That’s why we offer a different approach. This class is designed like any other academic subject—math, English, social studies—because driving safely is a skill that deserves that same level of attention. ✅ A Safer, Smarter Way to Learn Instead of cramming information into two short weeks, this class meets once a week for 45 minutes across 35 sessions. This slower, steady pace allows students to truly absorb the material, practice critical thinking, and build lasting habits. ✅ Built for Real-Life Confidence This program goes way beyond memorizing rules for a test. Students will explore: Emergency scenarios Car maintenance The psychology of driving Traffic signs, road rules, and more They’ll finish not only ready to pass the test—but prepared for the real world. ✅ Start Early, Stay Ahead This class begins as early as age 13, so students can build confidence before they ever sit behind the wheel. By the time they reach driving age, they’re informed, calm, and ready. ✅ Ideal for Neurodiverse Learners Research shows that students with learning differences (such as ADHD or dyslexia) benefit greatly from earlier and longer exposure to driving concepts. This extended, weekly format allows for repetition and steady reinforcement—helping all students feel more confident and capable. ✅ Part of a Well-Rounded Education Driving is a life skill. Treating it like an academic subject—rather than a rushed requirement—helps students respect its importance and take it seriously. My traffic class isn’t your standard boring lesson. As an Educator by trade, I know HOW you teach is as important as what you teach. My class motivates young people with games, fun and engaging interactive materials. Videos, animation, and interactive elements make this defensive driving course fun and entertaining as well as informative. Fun Interactive content keeps things interesting and engaging and ensures drivers retain knowledge. You’ll learn preliminary rules of the road and get support when you need it without ever having to change out of your PJs. The US has 4 million miles of beautiful roadway. Getting permission from your state to drive on them is just the sweet red cherry on top. Come with me and discover new technologies in cars, rules of the road and build skills and confidence. Together, we will take steps into developing driver knowledge and wrap up every class with a Kahoot game of driving questions to keep you on your toes!! No worries if you are not perfect, this class is all about having fun and learning. No prior knowledge is required. Just a pen, paper and a separate device with Kahoot when logging in! While the class start time is listed, please patiently allow up to 5 minutes past start time in the waiting room before we get started so that most students can arrive and I can follow Outschool’s policies on allowing students to enter. It doesn't happen often at all, but Due to some policy changes at YouTube, occasionally when I play a video from their platform, a 10second ad comes on beforehand. This is happening a lot with all teachers! I am working VERY HARD and diligently for a workaround. I know it is probably not a big deal, I know, I know…… but like to keep parents informed :)

While the class start time is listed, please patiently allow up to 5 minutes past start time in the waiting room before we get started so that most students can arrive and I can follow Outschool’s policies on allowing students to enter.
Drivers informational classes will OCCASIONALLY reference injury, drugs, alcohol, liability, loss damage or death statistics.
There are ONLY 3 short videos IN THE ENTIRE CLASS that I use that are a little older, but less than 5 mins. They were made late 90's but the info is SO GOOD and still relevant, they really need to see them. Its Minimal, but impactful.
FYI My Road Rules Traffic Safety class is NOT in any way an accredited class given by any government agency, institution, nor administration to fulfill a requirement for licensure in the state in which you reside. It is simply an informational class Hopefully, you will be able to use this, in conjunction with your states Drivers Manual, as a study guide. Please check your state requirements for licensure.
Fast paced. High energy! Notes will have to be taken! Some of my class sizes are larger, it keeps the energy going and gives ease to shy students. Please make sure you are ok with the class size BEFORE registering! (FYI, I have ALWAYS taught larger classes and am very skilled at teaching and controlling large groups of 20- 30 students daily for the last 23 years, so this is a breeze, they are in good hands!)
Additional Info:
Discounted enrollments are not eligible for pausing or unenrolling. If you pause more than once for any reason, you can continue the class of course, but will have to go back to full price. If you Unenroll, you will have to go back to full price. **No transfers.
Please also note that pausing does not hold a seat in Outschool's system.
New discounts are not for existing students. New discounts are for students new to the class ONLY. (**No transfers).
f you have a DISCOUNTED ENROLLMENT, but your learner has missed 3 classes or more, I have to give the spot to another learner that is waitlisted to come. Spots are scarce, the class is full, and there are others who want to participate.
Student learners can use the same screen, but must be enrolled separately in the class and have their own learner profile with Outschool.
Please be mindful that I do strictly follow the refund policy outlined by Outschool as it pertains to the class. If you are beyond the window for a refund, reach out to me and, as a courtesy, I will try to see if I can assist in another way. However, there is no guarantee that another arrangement can be reached.
Most of you know me well by now and see my heart. I am very nice. But we also have to be mindful that we are not taking advantage of one another :)
