Reverse Poetry is a unique type of poetry in which the poem reads negatively one way, and positively when read in reverse! This lesson provides a constructive way to talk to students about positive self-talk and gives them a voice as a writer. The class will begin with a discussion about positive vs. negative self-talk. The teacher will use lecture, examples, and discussion to engage the students. Then, the teacher will introduce reverse poetry, giving instructions and an example. Students...
Students will learn how to craft a reverse poem and create their own finished product. Students will learn about the importance of positive self-talk in achieving goals.
