Beginner Level
Whether you're just starting or looking to improve, this class will help you take the next step in becoming a stronger, more confident reader! This class will be helpful for your struggling reader as we will practice reading together during class. Corrections will be made gently. Phonics instruction and sounds will be taught as needed. In each class, we’ll read engaging books at a comfortable pace, working on pronunciation, fluency, and understanding. Students will get personalized guidance, tips for reading strategies, and opportunities to practice aloud in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. Through stories, rhymes, and simple texts, we’ll build confidence and make reading a fun experience. Examples of books that will be chosen are: "Days with Frog and Toad" by Arnold Lobel "Amelia Bedelia by the Yard" by Herman Parish "Danny and the Dinosaur" by Syd Hoff "Splat the Cat and the Quick Chicks" by Rob Scotton "Pete the Cat and the Cool Caterpillar" by James Dean "Fox at Night" by Corey R. Tabor "Henry and Mudge and the Happy Cat" by Cynthia Rylant "Mouse Loves Snow" by Lauren Thompson Please reach out to me with details about your reader. Whether they are just beginning or struggling with reading, I will help them improve. I can't wait to help your child to discover the fun of reading!

Hello! My name is Tracy. From ESL to social clubs and creative writing, I offer many different classes that are fun and allow for learning without pressure and stress! Academic success has always been important to me. I was the valedictorian of my high school graduating class and I graduated from Grand Canyon University, cum laude. I have 16 years of teaching experience. I taught a private school before starting a family of my own. I have taught every subject, from ESL to math and physics! I’ve taught ages from 3 to 18 years old.
Learning is important, but it's difficult to learn when you are stressed, struggling, or overwhelmed. I strive to make my classes fun so learning is easy.
As a mother of five, I understand that every child is different and they each have a learning style that works best for them. Because I have homeschooled all five of my children since the beginning of their schooling, I have seen the different ways children learn and know the importance of making learning enjoyable . I adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of the student.
