In this class students will listen to and discuss stories about rainbows. Next, they will watch a demonstration on how to create a rainbow using collage-style art. Learners will then use a variety of materials to create their own rainbows. Each child will be encouraged to design a rainbow that is unique to them. Perfect for blooming artists!
Students will make connections to literature. Students will follow step-by-step instructions to create a piece of art. Students will use creativity express themselves.
As a children’s author and illustrator, as well as elementary school teacher, I enjoy teaching young learners the process of creating art that is meaningful and reflects their own interests.
