During our 3 weeks together, your tween/teen will learn different mindfulness, meditation and pranayama (breathing techniques) that they can then practice at home. No prior knowledge of meditation is necessary. Just a willingness to learn tools to become more focused, balanced and relaxed. Students will gain valuable mindfulness skills, as well as recorded meditations that they can use to practice on their own.
Hi everyone. I'm Robyn Parets, founder of Pretzel Kids yoga and Breathe Joy Yoga! I'm also a mom to 3 boys and a yoga/meditation teacher for almost 20 years. Pretzel Kids yoga is one of the fastest-growing youth yoga and mindfulness brands in America. I'm thrilled to bring this important practice to your kids as mindfulness has been proven to help tweens/teens sleep better and reduce anxiety and stress. In addition to my training and background in yoga & meditation, I'm trained in Mindfuness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) from UMass (the program started by Jon Kabat-Zinn). The Pretzel Kids yoga & mindfulness curriculum was developed by yoga & school teachers and is now in place in schools, gyms, recreation centers, camps and more.
