Students will start from their current level and improve both their fundamental technical skills of art as well as their artist attitude. The aim will be to teach students not just to know how to create art, but how to have a successful art practice.
Art Journal- Sketch journal, mixed media journal, watercolor paper journal, etc. If we decide your student will be using a variety of art mediums, I would suggest a mixed media journal, or something with a heavy weight paper than can handle water or paint. Pencil- any kind is fine. Eraser All other materials will be determined by the student's desires for the course before the course begins. Some examples of materials: Colored Pencils Basic Watercolor set Brushes- med/lg round brush, small detail brush, water brush (brush that has a water well) Ink Pen- micron or other permanent fine liner white gel pen
We will refer to different reference material as study for our drawings. It would be good if student had the ability to have the image printed or at least on the screen in front of them. Reference material will be decided at the start of the course.
