We will review proper technique and fingerings. We will use the Essential Elements Book focusing on: key signatures, timing, note reading, dynamics, and basic music skills. I will have my saxophone and we will practice a duet, and proper timing. I will be able to focus on a student's specific, individual needs to improve their unique skill set. Students will be learning proper fingerings and technique to enhance their saxophone playing. We will work on basic fundamentals as well as some music theory to develop a well rounded musician. This course is designed to meet each individual learner where he/she is at.
I have played the saxophone for over 30 years- I have played in marching, concert and jazz bands. I am currently in the orchestra at my church, and play there weekly. I also have music experience playing the piano. I have been teaching saxophone lessons on Outschool for 6 months.
