In the first lesson, students will learn middle C, write a staff, quarter note, and middle C, learn to play a 5 note scale, and basic posture and hand position for piano. Students need to have a working piano or keyboard for these lessons. This is a one on one class. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson. I will demonstrate and ask students to repeat each concept. Students do not need and prior experience. If a student does have experience, I will adjust the lesson...
I have taught private music lessons for almost 20 years.
Students will need a working piano or keyboard. If the student has taken piano lessons before, they will need the books that they used for those lessons. If the student is new to piano and you choose to continue after the first lesson, I will recommend a lesson book based on their age and learning style.
