"A line is a dot that went for a walk." Paul Klee In this class we will explore the elements of art, color and line. Each week students will be introduced to a different type of line (horizontal, vertical, curved, wavy, diagonal, zig zag, spiral). We will then practice making the "line of the week". Through a multi-sensory and kinesthetic approach students will have multiple opportunities to practice making each type of line. We will then learn about a famous artist and explore their genre...
This class is designed to introduce the element of art, line, while building fine motor and prewriting skills as students develop an appreciation for art.
Students will need paper, pencil, crayons, watercolors, scissors, glue and construction paper
