Season 12 starts on 9/03/2022 Before we start, to battle other players online you MUST HAVE a Nintendo Online account. This is how Nintendo is set up to battle other trainers not near you and is not something I have decided on. Calling all Pokemon Sword and Shield trainers. Are you looking to practice your skills, discuss strategies and make friends in the process? In this social group, we play Pokemon Sword and Shield together in a friendly tournament style competition. There are established rules laid out to mitigate some of the advantages some long time players might have. Please see below for the specific rules. What you can expect: Positive and Friendly attitudes from all participants. No need to be an expert, I myself am a novice trainer. Good Sportsmanship. Students will encourage other students with advice, experience and positivity during and after duels. Friendship: Often times players trade Pokemon for free, including "shinies". However, this is not required or expected. What will not be a part of this class: No negative attitudes, demands or poor sportsmanship. Breaking the class rules or the tournament rules (Discussion about them is acceptable and encouraged. Maybe a change is in order). Tournament Rules: Battle On Sword and Shield Duel Rules: Double Battle Normal Rules (6 Pokemon Teams, level 50) Team Rules: Only Two Legendries Per Team Mythical Pokemon count as Legendries

The Learning Goals of this class revolves around teamwork, sportsmanship, socialization, discussion and discovery. We will inevitably make friends through sharing our passion of Pokemon and Dueling through Sword and Shield. We will also learn more about Pokemon and dueling through discussion and practicing together.
