課堂經歷
Students will meet weekly for guided instruction and question/answer time. Lesson 1: How to use graph paper to plan a garden. Students will be shown show to find their gardening "zone." Students will be given gardening resource ideas and also asked for their input--we can learn from one another! Lesson 2: Students will identify plants that work best for each student's zone (group activity). There is an in-class sketching activity. Group shares and discusses the sketches. Students are...
Students will learn to plan out a basic garden. They will learn how to select a location for optimal sunlight as well as select shade-loving plants for less sunny spots. Students will learn their garden "zone" to help them select the best varieties of plants for their garden. Students will learn how to read a seed packet.
