Beginner - Intermediate 等級
Ancient Greeks believed that philosophy begins with wonder. Young learners make excellent philosophers because they naturally wonder about many things! In this course, we explore and foster that sense of wonder. Philosophy means “love of wisdom” and through this course, your young learners will become wise about themselves, the people around us, and the world we live in. The class will learn through group activities, and Socratic seminar discussion. Students will help one another to understand the issues and values through a group discussion. Students will practice how to listen to one another, make meaning, and find common ground in their conversations.
This is one of my favorite topics to teach! I have utilized this series with my students of all ages. Learning through discussion is an important skill for students to develop!
Learners should be comfortable with verbal communication and willing to participate verbally throughout the class.

In this course students may ask questions or bring up topics related to our discussion that may challenge other learners' ways of thinking. I always encourage respectful and open discussion in this course.
