Students will benefit from getting inspirational lessons that the storyline offers with how to approach our own unique journeys in life. The class will also give learners an opportunity to engage in philosophical reflection and conversation.
I taught philosophy classes at a university for over 16 years, including courses in ethics, and in all of my courses I used stories to elaborate on philosophical and moral theories, reflections, and insights. It made studying the material more entertaining, memorable, and relatable. There are so many rich philosophical insights in stories of all kinds!

The assignment is to have watched the 2017 Jumanji film prior to class (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). Even if students have already seen the film, it will be best for them to watch it again closer to the class meeting in order to best follow and engage in discussion.提供的評估

Students need to have watched Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Even if they have already seen it, it will be best to have rewatched it closer to the class meeting in order to be able to better engage in the discussion. Also, given the nature of the class, cameras are required to be kept on.
Parents should be comfortable with the content of the film. In addition, with philosophical discussions, students may vary in their insights, opinions, and examples, so it is important for parents to be comfortable with the allowance of a reasonable level of freedom of expression and exposure to diverse viewpoints. Of course, all discussions will always be moderated in a way to keep examples and views relevant, appropriate, and in line with Outschool's policies.
