Learner age is flexible. You know your learner and their maturity level best. Learners will need to watch the movies on their own, prior to class meeting. We will begin class with background on the movie of the week and any oddities that may have happened during filming. We will discuss plot choices and filming strategies such as filters, soundtrack, and framing. How do the editing decisions affect the plot? How do they make you feel as a member of the audience? We will also discuss...
-Learners will refine critical thinking skills. -Learners will use evidence to criticize and support theories. -Learners will work on public speaking and social skills with learners who share the same interests. -Learners will explore their imaginations.

Parental guidance is suggested as some movies involve graphic violence and adult content. It is suggested that grownups have previously seen the movies. Grownups can also check out parent and child reviews at Common Sense Media and the IMDB Parent Guide. Learners will need access to the streaming platform of your choice, a library, or hard copy of the films. We may occasionally play games on Kahoot!, an account is not needed.
